FAQs
What is CranioSacral Therapy (CST)?
CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, non-invasive hands-on approach that is performed over clothing to help release deep held tensions in the soft tissues surrounding the central nervous system. CST activates the body's self-healing mechanism creating freedom from dis-ease of the body and mind. CST is an effective treatment for headaches/migraines, TMJ, neck and back pain, as well as many other conditions.

What is Myofascial Release?
John Barnes Myofascial Release (JBMFR) is a full system approach utilizing gentle and prolonged holds (5 minutes or longer) to release tension in the connective tissue that interweaves all of the structures in the body (muscles, vessels, nerves, bones, even cells). These techniques shift postural imbalances that produce chronic pain in the body and alleviate mental and emotional trauma. JBMFR is a potent form of bodywork for treating headaches/migraines, neck and back pain, reducing inflammation, and letting go of emotional holding patterns.

What is Shiatsu?
In Japanese, Shiatsu means “finger pressure.” It uses the thumb, fingers, and palms to press on specific points of the body. This technique helps restore the body’s natural flow of energy, focusing on qi and meridians in the body. Shiatsu takes a holistic view to address both physical and energetic imbalances. It works on the musculoskeletal system as well as the digestive, lymphatic, autoimmune, and other systems.
